Top Destinations for 2018 and When to Book Your Trip

It is nice when you have your designated vacation spot, but every now and then we all need to experience something new. The world is a big place filled with unimaginable beauties, and every year, adventurous tourists manage to discover new locations. It would be a real shame if you missed out on visiting some of these treasured locations, so read on for some inside info on top destinations for 2018 and when to book your trip.

January in Myanmar

The weather in Burma is ideal when January comes around. The dry season is the perfect opportunity to go on a river cruise from Yangon to Mandalay and explore the landscapes dotted with ancient temples, pagodas and breathtaking nature. Believe it or not, the plains of Bagan alone are home to 2,000 spectacular temples.

Riding an air balloon above this region is the most epic experience anyone should afford once in their lifetime. Just make sure to book your trip fast – the popular eight-day tours like “Meet Me in Myanmar” need to be reserved several months in advance, so booking in November for a trip in January is your best bet.

March in Australia

Early months of the year are a perfect time to visit Sydney. If you’re sick of winter by this point and simply cannot wait for July to dip into the ocean and enjoy the summer heat, book a trip to Sydney and relish in the colorful streets and expansive beaches. Hop on a ferry and delight in spectacular views of the bay area before you venture on to the idyllic Sydney suburb of Randwick. If you enjoy colonial architecture, gothic churches and well-kept suburbia under the summer sun, extend your impromptu visit and rent a room in one of the nearby establishments – after all, there are countless interesting things to do in Randwick.

June on Iceland

Are you a big fan of “Game of Thrones”? Then visit a true land of ice and fire in the middle of June and explore the budding nature and rocky landscapes. Think it might be too cold for your tastes even then? Hop to the Thingvellir National Park and visit Geysir Hot Spring Area, Iceland’s epicenter of geothermal activity. You can even take a dip in the blue lagoon which is a manmade body of water fed by the local geothermal power plant. At least a singular visit to Reykjavik is a must, but this is only scratching the surface as far as activities in Iceland go.

August in Jordan

August is the perfect time to book a trip to Jordan. If you find the time to go, you will have the front seats to one of the most remarkable celestial phenomena you could imagine. Every year, starting in mid-July and stretching out to the tail end of August, Perseids Meteor Shower sends the army of falling starts rushing across the sky.

Jordan has vast desert areas that are devoid of artificial lighting – and it is quite spectacular to drive out into the night and enjoy watching the most pristine celestial lights you can imagine. You can notice up to 50 meteors per hour during this period. Apart from that, you can spend your daytime hours in the lost city of Petra and among the red desert sands of Wadi Rum.

October in Peru

Of course, you cannot end your annual travel list without an adventurous trip to South America. If you want to visit Peru by October, you should book it fast because this is the last month of the dry season. Go on the legendary Inca Trail and visit the world-famous ruins of Machu Picchu. The timing would be more than perfect since the Lord of Miracles festival takes place in Lima on October 18, 19 and 28.

If you want to go on a trip of your dreams, you have to remember timing is everything. This is why you need to be on constant lookouts for convenient tickets and reasonably priced packages. This is the price of trying something different. Destinations that are becoming hot in 2018 will be overcrowded with people the following year, and the air of mystery and excitement will evaporate.  Seize the opportunity and book that trip!
