Grand Cayman has it all that makes a wonderful vacation. Some of my friends who have already visited the Cayman Islands strongly recommended that I also spend my vacations at least once here. They said that the eponymous island of Grand Cayman holds the greatest wonders for its visitors. I accordingly took the suggestion of my friends seriously and booked Air Canada flights on the website of Fare Buzz, a leading travel company. I was offered great flight deals on my airline tickets. This made me extremely happy as I was able to book cheap tickets from my native place Toronto to Grand Cayman, and save good amount for my trip.
My departure date had finally arrived and I boarded flights to Grand Cayman from Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport. After a 4-hour journey I landed at the Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman. It is the main international airport for the Cayman Islands and has been named after Owen Roberts, a pioneer of commercial aviation in the country. I hired a taxi and drove straight to the city center in the capital George Town where I had reserved a modestly-priced room at a hotel for my stay.
At the outset, let me tell that the entire Cayman Islands, comprising of three islands, is a network of amazing sights and sounds and worth exploring. Grand Cayman is the largest island of them all. The Stingray City is one of the most famous natural attractions here. The Stingray City is, in fact, an area in the ocean not far from the northern tip of Grand Cayman where tourists have wonderful moments getting up close to hundreds of friendly stingrays. The experience is quite exhilarating and simply fantastic. I enjoyed my every bit here.
After completing my visit to the Stingray City, I decided to explore George Town, the capital city of the Cayman Islands. The place is considered one of the world’s major money markets. You’ll find several banks and financial institutions here. The affluent visitors make a beeline to the city for shopping at many of its up-market shops. The streets were filled up with tourists looking for duty free souvenirs. I would say this is simply a pleasant town. The elegant cruise liners offshore were an impressive sight here.
My friends were absolutely true in suggesting a visit here and I was fortunate in heeding to their advice. I had my finest moments at this incredible Caribbean destination.
